Development of Sinusoidal Regression Model for Voltage Deviation Evaluation in the Power Quality Assessment of Ado-Ekiti Metropolis

Power Quality (PQ) modeling and evaluation is very important in recent times due to complexity the grid network this was based on injection of non-linear devices continuous introduction renewable energy sources (RES) into existing networks. The RES such as inverters, uninterruptible power supplies has contributed quality index short, medium, long interruptions, voltage dips, flickers, swells, spikes, harmonics among others. This paper reviewed indices PQ. Measurements were carried out with aid multimeter for certain areas Ado-Ekiti metropolis a period 24 hours aweek. A linear nonlinear model developed deviation output straight line sine trend which are -0.00667 T +0.21 and0.13-0.04 sin 30(T-12) function time 0 11:59 12:00 24:00 respectively. result shows that maximum 0.21%occurs at 0:00 decreases it tends toward noon, while from noon sinusoidal format ranging 0.09% 0.17%.
